Isola Rossa was launched in January 2003 in response to a large and growing group of friends that asked Carolina Tabor, an Italian living in London, to find them holiday accommodation by the sea in Tuscany on the wild and beautiful peninsula of Monte Argentario. Having spent long childhood summer holidays in the area, she has continued to go back and is an Argentario devotee. Her collection of luxury villas, apartments and cottages by the coast of Argentario are all owned by people she knows and the intention is to keep the portfolio small so as to offer a dedicated personal service. To these Argentario homes have been added two prestigious properties in inland Tuscany and a charming old farmhouse close to Orvieto in Umbria. As the Isola Rossa trading name was no longer appropriate to cover the wider geographic diversity of all the holiday homes in the portfolio, Dimore Italiane, a UK based limited company, was formed in September 2003, while the trading name ‘Isola Rossa’, which specialises just in Argentario property was retained coming under the umbrella of Dimore. |
